My jack and stands are one of the first tools I bought and I didn't really put much effort into research before hand. I just moved and have a pretty nice garage to work in now so I'm thinking of replacing them. I know the topic of jacks gets brought up a few times per year, and I have read those posts, but id like some opinions on a few things specifically. First off, does anyone use this style of stand, and what do you think of it? does it feal unsteady? These ones only go up to about 16in is that not a bit lacking?
Secondly, I really like this stand. It has the flat top with the pads, a nice wide base, goes up to 21in, and is only 12lbs. Everything is ideal except that a set of four will set you back $280 which doesn't seem very competitive. Anyone know of a similar product that is more affordable?
Northern Tool Link And finally I would like a low profile jack with a high lift and moderately lightweight. Anyone have a good Aluminum low pro jack that lifts >20in and cost <$200? Appreciate any comments.
